I usually print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper. The paper is renowned for It's exceptional quality and is a popular choice for printing high-quality images.
These papers are often favoured for black and white photography because they can produce deep blacks, rich greys, and a wide tonal range. The smooth surface of the paper allows for sharp detail and crisp images, making it well-suited for displaying the nuances of black and white photographs.
Here are some key properties that make it an excellent choice for showcasing your photographs:
By selecting Hahnemühle papers for your prints, you are ensuring that you receive a premium product that embodies the utmost quality and sophistication, making the investment in these photographs truly worthwhile.
Prints are shipped unframed with a thin sheet of protective paper covering the face of your print before being carefully rolled into a sturdy eco friendly cardboard protective tube for shipping.
Generally I do a relatively stadard large size of 841x1189mm (33.1 × 46.8 in) for most prints depending on the photos aspect ratio. However this is an estimate size as each print will be slighty different due to the post processing crop factor, image size and aspect ratio. I believe often the bigger the better with my prints and my reasons behind that are as follows:
Magnified Emotions: Large prints captivate and immerse viewers, creating a powerful emotional connection with the photograph.
Visual Presence : They grasp your attention, transforming any space into an art gallery and making a grand visual statement.
Celebration of Details: Bigger prints reveal the finest details, celebrating the artistry and technical prowess behind the image.
Personal Connection: They invite viewers to engage on a deeper level, creating an intimate and shared experience.
A white border is included to attain the dimensions of the actual size of the paper but the actual photograph contained inside of the white border will differ to the dimensions given. This can be discussed when making enquiries.
Yes absolutely, please contact me and I will happily assist with your requirements. This is how I usually work with my repeat and new clients as most often there are specific size requrements for my prints.
No unforunately not, I recommend our buyers contact local picture framers for framing. Frames and glass are susceptible to damage during shipping. Another consideration is that frames increase shipping costs due to size and weight, therefore it’s often cheaper to frame locally.
