FAQ

Where do you ship to?

I ship internationally to most cities around the world.

How long will my order take?

  • Processing time: This is the time it takes to verify your order and payment, printing and signing your photograph, performing quality checks and packaging it for shipment. All orders are processed within 7 - 14 business days.
  • Shipping time: This refers to the time it takes for items to be shipped from my printing partners in Australia or South Africa to your destination. Local orders (depending where I am at the time) take 3 to 5 business days to arrive. International delivery usually takes about 7 to 10 business days to arrive.

If for any reason there is a significant delay in the shipment of your order, I will contact you via email.

What paper do you use to print on?

I usually print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper. The paper is renowned for It's exceptional quality and is a popular choice for printing high-quality images.

These papers are often favoured for black and white photography because they can produce deep blacks, rich greys, and a wide tonal range. The smooth surface of the paper allows for sharp detail and crisp images, making it well-suited for displaying the nuances of black and white photographs.

Here are some key properties that make it an excellent choice for showcasing your photographs:

  1. Superior Image Reproduction: Hahnemühle papers are known for their ability to reproduce images with exceptional clarity and vivid colour accuracy, ensuring that your photographs are faithfully represented in print.
  2. Archival Quality: This paper is designed to meet the highest archival standards, guaranteeing that your prints will retain their quality and appearance over time. This feature is essential for ensuring the longevity of your photographs, making them a valuable investment for collectors and enthusiasts.
  3. Texture and Feel: The unique texture of the papers adds a distinctive tactile element to your prints, enhancing the overall viewing experience. Its luxurious feel elevates the perception of your photographs, making them stand out as premium works of art.
  4. Durability: With their robust construction, the paper offers exceptional durability, ensuring that your prints are resistant to damage and wear. This feature is particularly beneficial for preserving the integrity of your photographs during handling and framing, further solidifying its value for collectors and buyers.
  5. Professional-Grade Performance: Hahnemühle papers are widely favoured by professional photographers and artists for its reliable and consistent performance in delivering top-tier print results. Its compatibility with various printing techniques and technologies further solidifies its reputation as a preferred choice for creating striking, museum-quality prints.

By selecting Hahnemühle papers for your prints, you are ensuring that you receive a premium product that embodies the utmost quality and sophistication, making the investment in these photographs truly worthwhile.

How are prints packaged?

Prints are shipped unframed with a thin sheet of protective paper covering the face of your print before being carefully rolled into a sturdy eco friendly cardboard protective tube for shipping.

What sizes are available?

Generally I do a relatively stadard large size of 841x1189mm (33.1 × 46.8 in) for most prints depending on the photos aspect ratio. However this is an estimate size as each print will be slighty different due to the post processing crop factor, image size and aspect ratio. I believe often the bigger the better with my prints and my reasons behind that are as follows:

Magnified Emotions: Large prints captivate and immerse viewers, creating a powerful emotional connection with the photograph.

Visual Presence : They grasp your attention, transforming any space into an art gallery and making a grand visual statement.

Celebration of Details: Bigger prints reveal the finest details, celebrating the artistry and technical prowess behind the image.

Personal Connection: They invite viewers to engage on a deeper level, creating an intimate and shared experience.

A white border is included to attain the dimensions of the actual size of the paper but the actual photograph contained inside of the white border will differ to the dimensions given. This can be discussed when making enquiries.

Can I order a custom size?

Yes absolutely, please contact me and I will happily assist with your requirements. This is how I usually work with my repeat and new clients as most often there are specific size requrements for my prints.

Do you offer framing?

No unforunately not, I recommend our buyers contact local picture framers for framing. Frames and glass are susceptible to damage during shipping. Another consideration is that frames increase shipping costs due to size and weight, therefore it’s often cheaper to frame locally.

Do I need a PayPal Account?

No, you can easily pay using a credit or debit card via Paypal without having a PayPal account. When you get to the Paypal payment dialog box, be sure to click “Pay with a Bank Account or Credit Card”.

Can I pay from anywhere in the world with any currency?

Yes, you can. While the pricing is given in USD, I accept payments in any currency as long as they are deposited into the correct account. We will provide the necessary bank details and SWIFT codes for international transactions. If you opt not to use PayPal and choose to pay directly with a credit or debit card in a currency other than USD, the exchange rate applied will be determined by the prevailing rate on the day of purchase.

What will be on the print when I receive it?

On the bottom on the far right corner in the white border will be my signature and the year it was printed. On the bottom left will be the edition number of the print.

Can I track my order?

Yes, I use private shipping companies to ensure top quality delivery services and as soon as your print is shipped you will receive a tracking number via email.

How much does shipping cost & is shipping included in the price?

Every print is meticulously handled, and shipping costs are individually calculated based on the specific destination to provide the most competitive rates worldwide. Shipping costs are included in the price.

Do prices include Import Tax/GST/VAT?

The recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Orders shipped outside of South Africa or Australia (Depending on where the print is developed & shipped from at the time of order due to the artists location) may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches the recipient's country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be fulfilled by the recipient. Our company has no control over these charges, nor can we predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country.

VAT (Value added tax) / GST (General Sales Tax) is not included in product price thereby preventing double taxation, since the importing country will charge their own taxes.

Will the pictures on the website accurately represent the quality of the actual images?

While we strive to maintain the highest quality standards, it's important to note that the upload process to the website will slightly impact image quality, occasionally resulting in subtle degradation or banding of the image on the website. However, we assure you that the original images are of pristine quality. Should you wish to view the images in their unaltered form, please don't hesitate to contact me for personalised assistance.

Can I make copies of the print once I purchase and receive it?
